Bearing Sleeve Bushing

The bearing sleeve bush is the contact part of the sliding bearing and the journal. The shape is a semi-cylindrical tile-like surface, which is very smooth. It is generally made of bronze, antifriction alloy, and other wear-resistant materials. In special cases, it can be made of wood, engineering plastics, or rubber. 

There are two types of bearing shells: integral and split. The integral bearing shell is usually called bushing. There are two types of integral bearing bushes: with or without oil groove and with oil groove. The bearing bush and the journal adopt a clearance fit and generally do not rotate with the shaft.
