White Polyethylene Cold Applied Wrapping Tape

White Polyethylene Cold Applied Wrapping Tape

Product Description

Cold-Applied Tape Description

0.381mm thickness white polyethylene cold applied wrapping tape is cold applied tape coating system used for the corrosion protection of oil ,gas ,and water underground or overhead steel pipeline.

During the installation and construction process, once the steel pipe has been thoroughly de-rusted, an anti-corrosion primer is uniformly applied to the steel pipe's surface using a paintbrush. After the surface has dried, the tape is manually or mechanically wrapped around the steel pipe, and a pressure roller is used to firmly press the anti-corrosion tape in place, ensuring secure corners. Once installed, the product forms a complete and sealed anti-corrosion barrier on the steel pipe's surface.

The anti-corrosion primer functions as the initial anti-corrosion layer, covering the steel pipe's surface. The viscoelastic butyl sealant, serving as the second anti-corrosion barrier, exhibits exceptional resistance to water vapor transmission, effectively preventing the infiltration of corrosive substances. The outer polyethylene tape serves as the third layer of protection, providing robust mechanical defense for the entire anti-corrosion system against external forces.

This product is primarily designed for the external anti-corrosion protection of steel pipes, particularly for pipelines and storage tank systems, including elbows and station valve rooms. It boasts advantages such as minimal construction constraints, convenient installation, and a long-lasting anti-corrosion lifespan.
